International students commencing eligible UNSW Business School coursework in Term 1, 2027 can apply through the current international scholarship round. Its application closes on 30 October 2026 at 11:59 pm, labelled AEST by UNSW. Business School awards have specific course and previous-study conditions. Research-degree funding follows a separate process.
Which application route applies?
The official Term 1, 2027 scholarship page groups application-based international awards under PUCA1029. Applicants use the linked Scholarship Application Online portal. An application for university admission and a scholarship application are separate tasks.

Current Business School options
The Business School International Pathways Award, PUCA1023, lists AUD $15,000 toward tuition for one year. It concerns eligible undergraduate coursework entrants from the specified approved articulation or UNSW Foundation Studies pathways, with prior-study restrictions.
The Business School International Scholarship, PUCA1024, lists $5,000 tuition support with duration described as the minimum programme duration. Check the offer’s payment schedule rather than assuming an unrestricted cash payment. It has eligible coursework and prior-study conditions and cannot be held with the Pathways Award.
The broader round also includes the International Scientia Coursework Scholarship. Its eligibility and selection apply separately. Do not assume admission to a Business School course guarantees any of these awards.
Course and admission conditions
Applicants must satisfy international-student status, full-time commencement and the specific award criteria. The current round requires an eligible admission offer by the stated deadline, with detailed rules for conditional offers and applicants awaiting Year 12 results.
For a pathway award, check your exact qualification and institution against the approved route. For a standard Business scholarship, review whether prior tertiary study affects eligibility. An AGSM or research programme should not be assumed to qualify under an award directed at other Business coursework.
If the condition on your offer is unclear, ask UNSW which rule applies to your case. Keep the answer with your application records. Do not infer eligibility from another student’s offer, particularly when their course or entry route differs.
Academic and activity evidence
The round assesses academic merit, leadership, extracurricular activities and reasons for choosing UNSW. It requires evidence supporting the application’s claims. Read the official supporting-document guide for the accepted examples and formats.
Build an evidence checklist before uploading. For each claim, identify a record that demonstrates what you did and when. Keep descriptions consistent with the supporting document; a group certificate does not necessarily prove an individual leadership role.
Choose relevant examples instead of uploading an unorganised collection. Name files clearly, check that they are readable and make sure the application explains their significance. Follow the actual form’s limits rather than adding unsolicited material.
How to apply before 30 October
- Confirm your intended programme and Term 1, 2027 admission route.
- Check the specific Business award criteria.
- Open the official scholarship portal and select the current PUCA1029 round.
- Complete the responses and upload supporting evidence.
- Review the application, submit before the deadline and retain confirmation.
Use the PUCA1029 FAQ guide for process questions. The live round takes priority for cycle dates. Late applications and supporting documents are not accepted under the current notice.
Explain why the course fits your goals with specific academic interests and a credible plan. Replace broad claims about wanting a better future with the skills you intend to develop and how you expect to use them.
After a scholarship offer
Read the award conditions and tuition-payment arrangements before acceptance. Keep approved tuition support separate from living-cost funding. Your budget should still show accommodation, transport, health cover, books and other costs that the award does not explicitly cover.
Tell the university about other funding and changes in study plans. Do not add mutually exclusive awards together or assume a scholarship automatically transfers to another programme.
