Applications are open for the NYCU Scholarship in Taiwan for the Spring 2026 Intake. Previously this scholarship was known as the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) Scholarship. In 2026, NCTU merged with National Yang-Ming University to form a New Institute called National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). The National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University is offering various scholarship programs for international Undergraduate, Master, and PhD students for the Spring 2026 semester.
The NYCU University aims to recruit outstanding international students to study at the university, and therefore they established a National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University International Student Scholarship Guidelines to help students. The Institute offers five different scholarships known as NYCU International Student Scholarship, NYCU Elite Ph.D. Scholarship, Taiwan Scholarship, TIGP, and Indian Institute of Technology Industry Fellowship/Scholarship Program. Benefits of the Scholarship
Applicants will receive a Monthly Stipend and a Tuition Waiver.
- Monthly Stipend:
- Stipend for Undergraduate Students: NT$5,000 – 21,000 per month
- Stipend for Master’s Students: NT$7,000 – 25,000 per month
- Stipend for PhD Students: NT$10,000 – 30,000 per month
- Full tuition fee waiver or a reduction in tuition fees.
Eligibility Criteria
- The scholarship is open to new students who have not received any other scholarship or grant from the government.
- Each department will review the application.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 for undergraduates and 3.5 for graduate students for the renewal of the scholarship.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Must have all previous degrees, and transcripts.
